Valentinethe debate is that Drake was raised in a white household by a white mom. so while he did have the experience of growing up as a black boy due to his features, the way he was raised is way different to how he would have been raised if his mom was black and his dad was white

watch the party die was kind of the last straw for me where I realized he was basically just yapping trying to convince us that hes some kind of morally superior leader figure in contrast to drake

Mar 13, 2025soapmanwunis Mr Morale not recent? He bared his soul on that album only to get a lukewarm reception. Now on GNX he's wylin out and everybody loves it lol. Unfortunately I think the only way he can satisfy everybody is by going back and forth between deep and ignorant
I wouldn’t say “lukewarm”, it was received well enough overall and it’s gotten an even better reception with time. It definitely didn’t have the impact GNX has had though and that’s understandable, it wasn’t really commercial at all outside of N95 and Silent Hill and he was talking about some heavy s*** on the album that made people uncomfortable.
