Okay. It’s fine. It’s just that Planet Desperation—eighteen minutes—isn’t good and follows the eleven cringe minutes of Reality. But up to that point it is all right.

Haven't played it yet brodie! Will be posting thoughts when I do
I was literally thinking this is neck and neck with Bon Iver for AOTY until those final two songs
First half is still absolutely amazing though

Reality and Planet Desperation do nothing to me. But the rest is good.

Yeah same. I like the shorter songs here.
They should make an album full of power pop bangers like The Catastrophe next tbh
This thread should be stickied
first new rock album that's mattered in like forever
I'm on The Catastrophe
I may need to read along with the lyrics cause it's sounding like mush on these faster tracks
CCF was a good opener
Was seeing Reality as the standout track for a lot of people, it kinda fell to the background for me especially after Gethsemane.
I remember being obsessed with the album Teens of Denial and then never checking out any of their other music
Gonna tap in to this one
Planet Desperation gets good in the last 5 minutes...
You can love again, if you try again
CCF and Gethsemane are the standouts here for me. I think I would get much more out of it if I read along with the lyrics, but from a musical standpoint it wasn't hooking me in much. Nothing really HIT, like "Weightlifters" from the last album
