    this dude is the pinnacle of corny to me, I don’t think hes developed at all musically since cosmogramma and he’s gotten even worse at sound selection

    I put that same car crash/cop siren sample in a beat and got told it was too corny and needed to turn it off

    Hasn’t developed since cosmogramma is crazy when you’re dead is literally peak music

    I wonder why we never got more captain murphy

    He always said Kendrick took all his beats he was gonna rap on but I always felt like that was a half truth. He prolly just got bored of hip hop and moved more towards the jazz/electronic fusion s*** and then films after that

    I respect his study and dedication and he’s obviously grown as a technical musician

    The music started to feel a bit sterile or overwrought somehow though.

    horrorcore (at least for me) never really ages the best and in hindsight it just feels like a weird OF vibe surf with flylo prod

    really not a fan of the subject matter tho, it becomes fatiguing very quickly to me.

    Flylo doesn't have a prod credit here, it's a Little Snake beat. super disappointing from him as well tho, especially since he hasn't released much in the last 4 years either and he's posted a lot of incredible beats on his stories over that time only to drop this bs ..

    the beeper and lots of other silly sounds like that are kind of his trademark, at his best he can do very fun things with that

    Yeah it is kind of weird and embarrassing how he’s basically doing a Tyler impression on the whole album. I think that bothers me more than the actual subject matter, even his punchlines and certain phrases he uses feel so early Tyler
