I feel like I have to explain myself for stepping foot in Tim's. Well, I only went because I found an old gift card.
Roast Beef Craveable for $4.99. It was fine, no complains for a free sandwich but I'm not sure if I'd choose to spend money on it. I was waiting for like 15 minutes and the restaurant was practically empty. So sad what private equity has done to this formerly great chain. It's no fault of the employees that these cheap f***ass owners are too greedy to pay for more than one employee per shift, yet as per usual braindead Klanadians blame it on "muh Indian students".

if you didnāt say that, that was the roast beef, I wouldnāt know what I was looking at
Farmer's wrap or their bagels never done me wrong
dude they halved portions in the past decade, i had a farmers wrap last month first time in a while and surprised it was so small

Yeah it's quite noticeable. a common tactic used by a lot of the food industry in the last 5 years. I guess my comment is more for the taste aspect.
I harshly judge every person I see going to/waiting at the drive-thru for Tim Hortons

Lots of places to hike, ski, or snowboard if that's your thing.
Vancouver Art Gallery might be worth checking out.
Make sure you have a good raincoat too.

Vancouver is literally one of the safest places in the world, despite the fearmongering. Places like Chinatown have open d*** use and Granville Street can be rowdy at night, but 99% of the time people will ignore you and donāt pose any threat.
The city is pretty walkable and well connected with transit, especially by North American standards. The most popular nature sights are English Bay, Capilano Bridge or Lynn Valley if you donāt wanna spend money, and Stanley Park (people rent bikes to explore since its huge). I also like walking the seawall along False Creek to Granville Island, though the markets closed on Mondayās in January. Taking the seabus from downtown to Lonsdale Quay is a fun experience, thereās a few art galleries and other things to do there.
Most pubs in Vancouver arenāt like the ones in the UK. Thereās places that are divey where you can play pool like Soho and Ivanhoe, hipster breweries like Superflux, Luppolo, Strange Fellows, and Brassneck (all in the same area), and slightly fancier places with live music and cocktails like Guilt & Co. Gastown is a gentrified area with a lot of bars/tourists and The Cambie is supposedly good for meeting other people. Thereās a ton of specialty coffee spots like Revolver, Propaganda, Prototype etc. if thatās your thing, and JJ Bean + Pallet are the best chains.
Outside of downtown, Main Street and Commercial Drive are the coolest places to wander. For events, I'd check out thisweekinvan on IG, and Red Gate is a popular venue for local bands. Kitsilano and Yaletown are both beautiful but extremely yuppy and pretentious.
Vancouver is lacking in museums tbh but the Museum of Anthropology at UBC is the best one and showcases some of the Indigenous history here. The UBC campus is amazing and potentially worth exploring as well, if youāve got time. The Chinese Canadian museum in Chinatown is also cool for a quick visit. There's smaller art galleries worth visiting like James Black, Grunt Gallery, and Slice of Life.
For food, you canāt go wrong with sushi, ramen, pho, hot pot, and Chinese + Indian food. Are you looking for more upscale or casual places to eat? For casual late night spots downtown I like Fritz, Rollzzy, Mr. Shawarma, and Japadog.
victoria and the rest of the island is a better place to visit
