He’s got stains on his jacket for sure but 1 defeat doesn’t erase what he’s built over the past 15 years, even one as embarrassing as this
As far as the references go that definitely makes me view him more differently than losing the battle. I’ve always understood from my own experience in the game that it takes a village to create good music, especially mainstream music that consistently does numbers but even knowing that I still am a bit disappointed that BackoutsideBoyz cadence wasn’t his.
Even though it’s disappointing it’s not completely damning imo. I think it would take something like a reference for Lemon Pepper Freestyle or some s*** for me to really view him as the fraud some of y’all view him as lol

Reasonable Doubt is such a overrated album
As much as I love Blueprint 1, and think it's his best album, it's not touching the complexity of TPAB at all, maybe hits, but that's about it.

Drake got absolutely washed by Kendrick Lamar, and we all know he has a team of writers to write his music. He even takes full tracks from artists and just does karaoke over them (Mob Ties, Jumbotron).
Can people seriously say Drake is even in the GOAT conversation after getting absolutely dogwalked by Pusha T and Kendrick (2 of the biggest Ls in hiphop history btw) and also being exposed for having writers and reference tracks again and again over the years?

Drake and Kendrick will never be the greatest honestly. But Drake will always be the better rapper ghostwriting or no ghostwriting. Honestly I’d rather hear Drake rap than Kendrick.
