So much stuff to take into account on this subject but yall just wanna say "people are attracted to certain types that's how it is" when it litteraly isn't how it is
So that one guy is the president of men?
Shaq you're saying this with an avi of Selena Gomez appealing to the male gaze, low lids and a cheeky demeanor trying to act sexual.
And you have that avi because of what?
How she looks?
Surely because there's no way you'd be seen dead listening to Selena.
So you are not superior in anyway shape or form to the men you're trying to defend/criticize.
Have some self-reflection and awareness please
This ain't true either lol nothing in science is either 100% nature or 100% nuture, look into epigenetics for example which is the study of how the environment we live in can shape what our genetic expression is
OK 90%
So you don't think that if people were to consistently be shown images of a certain type of "model woman" on a daily or routine basis, their opinions on what is and isn't attractive or acceptable would change?
Are we ignoring how being fat used to be a sign of wealth power and beauty?
On a more basic level, are we just ignoring how the psychology of advertisements works?
You are vastly underestimating the influence that culture has on psychology
I think it’s man to man thing. For some dudes it doesn’t matter how many times they see a certain type of women in the media. It doesn’t change how they feel.
it's a battle trying to educate men because most are very stubborn and they love their privilege and aren't willing to see the world through the perspective of a woman
💯💯💯💯
Attraction is 100% not genetic or biological its sociological and nothing else
I don’t agree
Some people just like certain things
But i do think we are pushed socially to like certain things to fit in

I mean sure but a lot of it comes from formatting from our surroundings
So that one guy is the president of men?
No of course not he’s just a loser
But it’s lame asf for men to be telling women publicly they shouldn’t exist and s*** because they don’t find them sexually attractive
Maybe women’s body types go in and out of style to other women. But I feel like men liked what they like since the beginning of time

I like the song she did w Kid Cudi
But yeah I have the avi cause I think she’s cute. But how is that a problem? How is that oppressive?
And idk if she’s tryna appeal to the male gaze because her main audience is women

I agree. But that’s not a thing that most men do
Mhmhmh mhmh

Brb slamming my head into the corner of a brick wall so I can match the same IQ as these b****es in here
I mean sure but a lot of it comes from formatting from our surroundings
Yea a lot of it
Most men only like certain things about women because it’ll make them look cool to other men
But at the same time some people just like certain things from the jump

I'll say again you are severely underestimating the influence culture has on psychology, self-esteem/self-image and perceptions of beauty. A lot of this stuff happens on the unconscious level as your brain starts to associate certain stimuli with certain emotions or responses based on what you perceive from other people. Just because you don't think it has happened to you doesn't mean it hasn't happened to you or it doesn't happen at all
