So you don't think that if people were to consistently be shown images of a certain type of "model woman" on a daily or routine basis, their opinions on what is and isn't attractive or acceptable would change?
Are we ignoring how being fat used to be a sign of wealth power and beauty?

You are vastly underestimating the influence that culture has on psychology

I'll say again you are severely underestimating the influence culture has on psychology, self-esteem/self-image and perceptions of beauty. A lot of this stuff happens on the unconscious level as your brain starts to associate certain stimuli with certain emotions or responses based on what you perceive from other people. Just because you don't think it has happened to you doesn't mean it hasn't happened to you or it doesn't happen at all
