Purple Haze one of my most fav tapes ever but when drake actually rap raps he a cheat code

    Only valid point is biggie

Eh he’s good. But nah. He’s never spit anything as raw as a losing weight part 2

Drake is easily top 10 all time rappers tho

In facts who most influences and influenced Drake to this day, business wise, career wise, rapping wise are Jay Z and Lil Wayne.

Kanye? You can say something about sound palette of the PRODUCTION of, mostly, So Far Gone, but thats a small frame, and it was Bo1-ida, 40 thing.
Theres nothing of Kanye on Take Care for ex. The production on it is all about originality, Toronto sound. Influences of 40 production, you can tell its something of Burial, Massive Attack, Timbaland and more of 90's R&B production.

Such classics, only under Jay influence tbh

Imagine if HOV and 6 God did an album together... Kanye tears

This new song "Say When" just confirms Drizzy goat status

Takin' shots with the GOAT and talked about shots that we sendin'

Jay's influence on Drake is bigger than Wayne's.

people don't get that if you were in your teens in the mid 2000s, like a lot of biggest current rappers are, you'd probably be more influenced by early Kanye than you would Tribe if you're a backpack rapper, or 50 more than you would Kool G Rap if you make street rap

808 machines in rap didn't start with trap music, Memphis artists in the 90s were using them, yet we know most trap artists probably wouldn't say they were inspired by 90s Memphis artists, they'd probably more likely to say Gucci

You don't have to be the first to do something to influence people

    Travis
(Sound was a more gritty and rough take on the sound explored in WTT, collaboration process on albums was influenced by ye, 808s and yeezus infleunce)

    J. Cole
(College dropout and late Registration soulful sample style production with conscious and relatable bars)

    Drake
(More emotionally dense music, and ability to be himself, and not having to stick to the mold of a rapper)

    Big sean
(Early ye style of rapping, reliability and easy to understand message)

    Kendrick
(The way that they approach album making and artist progression, changing style every album)

    Tyler
(Production, collaboration process, being able to be yourself with 3stacks, pharrell, and tribe influence, also the way they approach album making)

Chance and his peers (noname, saba, smino, mick ?, vic mensa)
(Early ye style of rapping, conscious bars with themes of nostalgia, being able to be yourself)

    Cudi
(The appoarch of making albums cinematic and conceptually dense, and 808s style, which he help influence but was also in turn influence by it, being able to be yourself)

    Childish gambino
(The appoarch of making albums more cinematic and conceptually dense, being able to be yourself, production style)

    Jaden
( dont even need to explain this one)

    070 shake
(Production style, 808s, MBDTF, and yeezus style of music)

    Uzi
(808s style music, emotionally dense music, rockstar aesthetic, being able to be yourself)

Not to say ye is the sole influence for the reasons I listed above because he isnt outcast, pharell, tribe, de la soul, and others exist, but he's definitely a big part of those reasons

Little Brother?? We pretending Kanye wasn't producing or rapping before 2003 bro?

Kanye didn't have an album out until 2004. The Listening dropped in 2003 and Little Brother had a single out in 2002.

Keep saying this guys influential but I don't see it what music has he inspired

EDIT : Travis and Cudi and a few were doing stuff Ye supposedly inspired then to do before he would've been able to

All you guys are doing is naming artist but not what sound he inspired besides maybe lil uzi who said 808s inspired him himself

And last but not least Kanye is hot the first person to be positive and negative in his music and be himself

ALSO Drake's heaviest influences I feel are Wayne and he said himself S A D E

Chance the rapper’s chants in his songs

I used Little Brother as an example of alt rap like I did with Tribe, Pharcyde and other groups. Tribe dropped in the early 90s making similar alt rap as Kanye, they did this s*** before Kanye was making s***.
