I don't think it's safe for me to say this off KTT but I've been planning to vote for Trump for a couple years now.

But if they put Kamala, a black woman, up there to get eviscerated by Trump.... Dems might lose my vote for next to around, too. I don't support them being so unprepared for Biden inability to win that they'll put up the black woman as a meat shield against a campaign that's licking their lips at attacking her and all black women.... no.

The people > the party. So I hope they find a male candidate because I don't think Kamala can win and it's not worth putting her up for all that BS. I mean, her campaign would have to be extremely different than Biden and Obama's to win imo. Idk who her running mate would be

Harris saves democrats from getting smoked in November she’s black she’s younger and she’s a women she makes the race closer than a lot ppl might think dems should did this sooner tho

surprised to see this post coming from you

while I share similar sentiments, I was just considering simply not voting for the first time ever. I actually felt disrespected that the dems thought they could wheel out biden’s corpse and the people would just accept him blindly as the nomination. However, I still can’t bring myself to vote for trump. My attitude was to ultimately just the the chips fall where they may, as I could not bring myself to vote for either candidate.

Now however, I actually do believe Kamala has a real chance, especially if she chooses an VP from a battleground state. Imagine things from the republicans perspective, best scenario for them was for Biden to stay in the race. Trump will now have to pivot his campaign with only a few months to go to face a new opponent. Sure she’s not ideal, but she’s a lot more capable of what we were expecting and I’d like to believe she learned a lot more over the last 4 years since her last showing in 2020.

I don’t expect anything to change on Israel besides the cynical deployment of softer and more empathetic empty language towards Palestine. But there’s going to be an American presidential candidate who has voted against Israel.

Again, doesn’t mean much and the bare minimum shouldn’t impress you. but solely in terms of beating trump, maybe there’s a path here for getting out from under the giant bloody hands of Biden’s last 9 months
