So now you're putting your own thoughts on her true intentions, lol? You are already listening in bad faith.

And the gentlemen's argument does not solely rest on "use your own eyes" He literally quotes renowned economist on this very issue...

"I used to subscribe to the near consensus among economists that immigration to the US was a good thing, with great benefits to the migrants and little or no cost to domestic low-skilled workers. I no longer think so. Economists’ beliefs are not unanimous on this but are shaped by econometric designs that may be credible but often rest on short-term outcomes. Longer-term a***ysis over the past century and a half tells a different story. Inequality was high when America was open, was much lower when the borders were closed, and rose again post Hart-Celler (the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965) as the fraction of foreign-born people rose back to its levels in the Gilded Age. It has also been plausibly argued that the Great Migration of millions of African Americans from the rural South to the factories in the North would not have happened if factory owners had been able to hire the European migrants they preferred."

Her anecdote wasn't used as an argument for or against anything. Were you even listening to her?

She literally states... "There's reality and then there's perception.." She then goes on to explain the PERCEPTION of what some black males in the community feel.

Man what? The whole panel is arguing against immigration. That’s what her anecdote was used for

No s***. My comment to you was directed at your comment claiming she's using "great replacement" talk...when she literally states that is the perception...not the reality.

edit - You obviously aren't comprehending what the anecdote was used for.

You got it bro. If we can’t even agree that she’s co-opting that argument I think we’re just gonna talk in circles here

This isn’t surprising — the average American voter, ESPECIALLY, the average American voter from a swing state votes for the candidate they perceive as being most “moderate”.

I just read through the posts from last night where people itt were saying she gave a bad speech because she talked about keeping the military strong and patriotism stuff — Americans eat that s*** up lol. Just because Left Twitter may not like it, doesn’t mean it was a bad speech. In fact, most focus groups have said it was a good speech. Likely because she said moderate stuff. Which she probably needs to do even more than the normal Democrat to attract voters because she’s a black female from California (and therefore a lot of people’s instincts are to assume she’s extreme).

It’s totally fair to not like her doing moderate things personally, I get that, but some of yall are projecting that as bad overall strategy, when that’s simply not the case. If you want to win, you have to attract dumbasses that don’t want anything they’re not familiar with.

Regardless of what you think her true intentions are, mass immigration and the impact of it on not just black Americans, but all Americans is a worthy topic of discussion. And immigration was what the majority of the panel was about. I just find it funny the frivolous stuff you decide to focus on.

taking the category of "Americans" as a given when the US is a prisonhouse of nations is automatically xenophobic. the issue is not immigration, it is capitalism and imperialism. the migrant proletariat is our greatest ally in the quest for national liberation.

typical smug liberal, treating everyone like an idiot who is fooled by this s***. there is no "average american", folding everybody down into a stereotype of "left twitter" who doesn't agree with the genocide of arabs is just you being racist.

Idk I feel like she was just about as pro Israel as the average US politician, I don’t really see how what she said in that speech was any different.

And being real here, the fact that she’s a woman necessitates her using extra strong language when it comes to military, because a lot of people are going to have a bias against a woman (especially one they perceive to be far to the left) as being “weak” on military
