the election is indicative of nothing because it is primarily a media spectacle and largely a corporate bought process. figuring out if the election says anything about anything would need to be the subject of a serious study, nothing is immediately obvious from the outcome.
there is no "woke" movement, thats right wing media garbage. and you need to define what you mean by idpol because the term is so abused by the right and of so little significance to the left.
i don’t mean woke movement in the sense of like “they’re pushing trans stuff on the kids” but it’s the only term i could come up with where everyone would kinda know what i was talking about
idpol as in general LGBT+ stuff like trivial s*** such as pronouns and the whole dichotomy between progressives, conservatives, LGBT+ fighting for rights and acceptance in the Bible Belt so on and so forth
@czy

I would not mind Jon Stewart.
He's a lib I get it, but he's a jersey guy so i f***s wit em
I think he’s a pretty good choice, they desperately need someone with a personality
is Trump winning so handily indicative that people have become tired/disillusioned with idpol and the whole "woke" movement or?
like it's obviously a smaller component compared to how the Dems literally didn't differentiate themselves and tried to throw some adhoc bullshit last minute when Biden flubbed, but i do think there was a fairly obvious undercurrent of a hatred for LGBT+ s*** and everything in tow that drove some people to vote as well
Trumps supporters never bought into the woke s*** so idk if they’re tired of it or they just got a nigga making them feel seen lol
Plus a lot of young men just feel like they’re constantly being blamed for s*** and being told they’re evil or whatever. They getting groomed by these red pill niggas cuz they’re making em feel like “men” again type s***.
Me and a couple of others got told we wrong for thinking that but I’ve seen too many people buy into that rhetoric for me to believe otherwise lol

LGBT hate is bipartisan now. look at how liberals constantly s*** on Queers For Palestine using the most racist orientalist bullshit imagine. its obvious that they are willing to throw us under the bus when we aren't election pawns.

i don't really think it's necessarily about the public rejecting any specific social issues so much as it is the public vehemently trying to dismiss the institutions associated with those issues politically
this is very similar to what happened with abortion. abortion is an incredibly popular issue in terms of support for the common public - so much so that even deep red states continually vote to keep it legal - but there is a huge rejection of the messaging surrounding abortion in terms of how democrats present it. it is of course a luxury for americans to be able to reject messaging without rejecting the underlying issue, but that really speaks primarily to the extent of which these things are seen as a priority

If it were limited to America, sure. But nationalism/populism is en vogue worldwide
I do think the most interesting discussion right now is who runs 2024 and 2028
You telling me we get a second chance at 2024
You telling me we get a second chance at 2024
well yeah the mail in votes arrive monday
work is genuinely silent . they got talked to about joking about assassination and making many jokes about Trump and the election that werent work apropriate. They used to talk all day
they made fun of god , race, everything
all these work places have gotten too comfortable with speaking however about Trump or anyone really they think its okay because he is hated to bcompare him to Hitler at work but that s*** is really genuinely triggering s*** more triggering than a fatality
i mean
https://twitter.com/warclandestine/status/1854629659415076903Social media just tells people what they wanna believe its crazy. trump had mfing amber heard on stage and had p*** stars endorsing him...
Imagine blaming us for what's happening in Palestine
What you want us to do, go nut check Netanyahu??? It's not us.
I know people get tired of choosing between the lesser evils but when you break the march of progress to let autocratic conservatives get back into power- they will resume their destruction and destabilization of the middle east that they've been doing since the 1970s.
At the very least, we can keep attempting to change the Dems from within. Every time you punish them, you set it back 4 years minimum
Big fax.
The starting point is going to be way closer to the goal with a dem in office over a cons in office.
What's funny is that if conservatives weren't so xenophobic, they could probably get enough leverage to appeal to mostly everyone.
But I guess someone's gotta take care of those isolated redneck villages all over the country.
