I'm really hoping she doesn't get complacent and let this honeymoon phase support get to her head

One thing she has to realize is that there's a very large portion of the electorate who wants the genocide to stop. A good portion of those people are going to be very vocal about it. Just a simple difference in tone would have changed some of the perception of that event.

Something like "listen, I hear you, and we are working on it"

Biden has been saying that the admin is working on a ceasefire so she should have reflected that instead of "I am speaking now." That works on the debate stage with your opponent, not a potential voter.

Clearly she's not going to break from Biden's policy while he's still in office and unfortunately won't do what she should do in office and that's suspend arms to Israel. That's the reality we unfortunately live in and it's inept to expect any American President to do so in the next four years. I would HOPE that she is tougher on Israel if she wins. If the reports are to be believed that behind the scenes she is not as supportive of Israel as Biden then that's a very tiny baby step but it's something.

I don't know I'm just working out my thoughts here, but a very disappointing thing to see. On a strictly electoral front the campaign needs to find a stance on Gaza that is supportive, but with how things are politically it's tricky. Like of course it should be to end the Israeli occupation, eventually dissolve the state of Israel, and give Palestine all of its land back, but that is not the reality we face as of now.

Also there is a good majority of the electorate that doesn't care about Gaza or it's not their top priority when it comes to the election. They have to find a way to appease everyone in a sense but that is going to be difficult.

I am kind of unsettled by the confidence of so many Dems right now… it’s bordering on cockiness… like so many acting positive that Harris will win… bruh best case scenario we’ve only gone from a blowout loss to a nailbiting race right now.

How many people told me “of course Hillary will win” in 2016 🤣🤣🤣 same folks who then went out and bought Hillbilly Elegy the following year to try and “understand middle America” as if the election wasn’t simply decided by 90k ed swing voters in literally 3 states… a Taylor swift concert size group of people decided the 2016 election. And the 2000 election was decided by a high school auditorium size crowd.

Kamala stinks. Doing the exact same lip service as Biden, but with the veneer of being a “younger” Black woman.

Apparently she indicates to the Uncommitted Michigan reps that she was open to an arms embargo on Israel.

Now her spokesperson tweets this today because the Israel lobby questioned her.

It’s been a couple weeks and the shine is already starting to wear off
