i think it further alienates voters tho
just like we don’t want or care for mega millionaire cooperate peoples endorsements of politicians, why should we care about mega millionaire athletes and entertainment people’s endorsements ?
it just doesn’t help the ethos of trying to identify with every day people (that is desperately what politicians need to do) when you invite and befriend and are so close with all these celebs
