Halfway through blackshirts rn. Really like how it covered the inseparable collaboration big business, privatisation, anti labour movements had with fascists in Germany/Italy. Any Recs for similar stuff in that realm?
Fascism and Dictatorship by Poulantzas is the single best book on fascism, as well as just being a great text to understand classes in more depth generally
Fascism and Big Business by Daniel Guerin is also supposed to be amazing, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet

off the top of my head Gramsci wrote about how the underdevelopment of Italy led to the fascist regime. Lenin wrote about the rapid development of German and Japanese militarism in Imperialism and of course Dimitrov's work on fascism and Dutt's work on social-fascism are still undefeated. I think this is basically all you need to read to understand fascism in a broad sense, the logic can then be applied universally to modern conditions.

hope my trve comrades dont kill me but I found this 'lecture' incredibly insightful

American strategy of just pumping fascists with money and weapons so they keep control over a certain region has never been named. Or I'm not aware of it. There should be a name.
Containment cinematic universe
yo f*** this cow Harris for closing half a mile of broad st today and now the goddamn 4 bus is stuck going down 12th st which is one f***in lane and this kid on the bus won't stop screeching and I need to piss like a racehorse
I have Dems winning with 319 electoral votes and that's without getting Texas or Florida
They’re STILL trying to do the anti-trans s***.
They actually can’t help themselves.
I don't know how or why the narrative is the way it is, but Republicans branding themselves as the every man's party is really ridiculous given what their talking heads have been concerned with over the last 4 years.
With all due respect to transgender people (I'm a huge LGBTQ+ rights supporter in every way shape and form) the average American literally does not care about them enough to hate them, love them, or even care about their existence

Hell, most people probably don’t know, or aren’t even aware that they know, a single trans person.
you can tell the very literal reason they tweeted this was to piss off people like "oh thank god they didn't pick shapiro"

But Walz is a Somali.

Funny thing is it actually worked
A few people I saw who were asking for Walz and complaining about Shapiro over the weekend have now started complaining about Walz lmao
Does America even have any pro-Palestine politicians
Like yeah it'd be nice but are we asking for something that doesn't exist

tlaib and to a smaller degree ilhan omar
many democrats hold "two state" views which obviously is not sufficient for most people but is the closest you're going to get
that said 90% of the world recognizes israel and only a handful of countries have suspended ties with them over the recent war. when asking about what politicians are just wholly pro-palestine you need to go to like, surrounding MENA countries or like pakistan

Yes in the last couple of years theres more pro palestine politicians, but they routinely get bullied out of their seats due to aipac dumping large amounts of money into their district as soon as they say something anti israel. One politcian was beaten in their primary earlier this year and another one will likely lose her seat in the coming weeks
Listening to Shapiro’s introduction speech rn, and I’m gonna be real — the narrative that he just impersonates Obama’s speech style is a stretch. Very different oratory style imo
Way more gruff and off the cuff than Obama was. Not to mention his actual voice is very different. Kind of a weird comp imo
