i don't think walz is particularly that good of a pick strategically but he's better than shapiro
if the aim of the kamala campaign was to really hone in on the pre-biden campaigning of "return to normalcy" then the messaging is there at least from Walz but policy-wise is somewhat questionable. Shapiro would have been a bad pick in that sense so it certainly makes more sense than him if it was a coin-flip. I think the people trying to frame Walz as a radical make 0 sense, his policies are less progressive than even like, Newsom. Picking someone from a purple-leaning state with decent spanning appeal is at least a good campaign starting point, it's better than whatever the f*** vance is strategically
