This is so wrong
The best way to understand a candidate is to have someone smarter than you explain complex issues, and then apply that to what the candidate says, while cross-checking everything across different sources / viewpoints
A candidate is not going to give you the best assessment of themself
They’re gonna blow themself, obviously
And then these rambling puff pieces with no pushback just becomes blowies on blowies
This is a terrible way to understand the candidate better, especially if you’re gullible and uninformed
