Exactly. The excitement for her is strictly a niche internet thing. All this could've been avoided if they had an actual primary, Dems have nobody to blame but themselves. Very irresponsible way to handle "the most important election of all time"
No incumbent party has ever won when challenged at a primary. For obvious reasons.
as a Brit I'm not clued up on the process
If he drops out, who replaces him?
harris
need him to not only drop out but immediately resign
who made this bait ass title
Absolutely pathetic by the DNC (all of the last decade, not just this moment)

theres no way big d*** biden drops out there's no real replacement

they been dripfeeding kamala for weeks its her
I keep hearing a lot of people talking s*** on Kamala as a nominee and I’ve never been on that closed minded “it needs to be her” train. I just always kind of an assumed that she would have the best odds because of the access to funds, infrastructure, and added time without a contested convention.
But I’m curious if anyone here wants to make the case for someone else they think would have better odds — keeping in mind that they would obviously also need to be able to win a contested convention if it was not Kamala.

yeah no way anyone votes for her tbh

nah it seems like the party actually doesn't know. If you read back at stuff like the Clooney op-ed and other comments, no one is actually defaulting to Kamala. Seems like they may risk contested primary
they're stupid

It’s up to Biden — if he endorses Kamala Harris (his vice president) when he drops out and tells all of his delegates to vote for her, then it will be her.
If he says that he wants a contested convention then it gets more tricky — basically that means that the Democratic Party leaders and staffers would get to vote at the convention among a field of declared candidates to choose his replacement.
No point in him dropping out to save face for dems, it seems they already lost regardless

I think its over regardless tbh
kept tryna think of a candidate yesterday that would work, but I just don't think there is one.
Post assassination attempt ofc. If that had not happened, I think it would be more open but idk. just feels over atp

https://twitter.com/jmart/status/1813718134596964619its an absolute disaster if biden drops out and they wait til august to announce a candidate
which is why this is probably correct

Complete defeatism is OD corny lmao
