But like what did Kamala give us to vote for?

This argument feels so weak, cause Trump literally gave his base the same nothing. The ideology of MAGA/white supremacy was his selling point this, and a bunch of bullshit to trick enough minorities to ride for him. We are literally headed into unknown territory with this man.

Why are people Trump could run for a third term? Could have sworn it was two terms max and that's it, regardless of whether they're consecutive or not.

He did joke about it once but that's proof the idea is in his head at least. Maybe he wasn't serious of course but after Jan 6th you just don't know with this guy. We got him on call asking for more votes to be found so he can win in 2020. Why wouldn't he call someone up and ask "how can I run again?" We could or could not hear that possibly in 2027 or 2028

democrats are not a "left" party, they're not even a labor party. I dont know what its gonna take for you people to see they're not interested in being this thing you want them to be, its a right-wing organization.

I agree that they aren’t “left,” themselves, but their base is, and I think they need to fundamentally change themselves, as a party, or get ready to lose a lot more.
I would love a more left party, especially labor/worker focused, but as of now, Dems are the best bet.
I think that a new party could come if the dems just collapse in on themselves and go on a historic losing streak, but I fear what the country would look like at that point.
    Idk. Not any great options

Dems might be straight controlled opposition atp.
Not working with more openly progressive members like Bernie or firmly taking more strong progressive positions may be beyond just incompetence.
I genuinely think it might be because they don't want to blow donors, who want nothing to really change.
But they need to say f*** it and just do it. Go more progressive. You are who you are; your base is left leaning, and you won’t appeal to them by not being left leaning too!
If you lose that corporation or billionaire money, make it up with donations from the people! Idk, do something! This “left but not too left ;)” thing isn’t working

    Youre right 100%

it's more of an unspoken rule

He could technically and it's been done before but isn't likely to happen again

that was an unspoken rule before FDR

its been law ever since that no person can be elected president more than twice. doesn't matter if its a new presidency like here, Trump (presumably) has been elected twice
