I think this is a very oversimplified view of the country rn. Clinton won the popular vote, she just played the optics wrong in key states and it cost her the electoral college. That's proof a woman can win. It's not hate but cynicism, from both sides that's not motivating the left enough, the right will show up regardless it could be a bag of literal s*** and if there's an R next to it on the ballot they'll vote. Dems need to remember why Obama won, he got people inspired again they played that election so well after Bush completely f***ed us and Trump has f***ed us worse but dems are acting like they've never been through an election cycle before. They can win and a woman will be president someday but it will be when she can get hope back and bring change, Kamala was a last minute pick and even with a full campaign she would've come off just as lifeless and had no plan other than keep Biden's plans going. Which is not what the average everyday person wants rn

Am I just a doomer, or does trump winning cause some serious governmental shift in the coming future?
Whether it’s a shift further toward authoritarianism, radical leftists crashing out and pulling illegal stunts, or something else, I feel like there may be large consequences to this.
The only thing giving me hope is that everyone said there would be those same large consequences in 2016, and luckily, at least to my knowledge, trump wasn’t able to do too too much damage that term (except for the Supreme Court)
