I think it has the most serious tone out of all the Miike films i've seen. It's a beautiful story

yeah Relentlessly sad, but I thought it was very beautiful
I also watched his Django recently you seen that one @FlyHiii
Yeah Sukiyaki
Have seen it about 3 times
I actually love that film. It's not the best Miike but it's insanely fun. The Asian cast being forced to speak their dialogue in English is legendary bc you can hear most of them have no clue what they're saying or how they are supposed to say something
the QT cameo is cool, it kinda feels like a QT film given all the western genre influenes
Couple things that hold it back, it goes on a tad too long and there's 1 very very unnecessary (attempt at) r*pe scene
But besides that the films a blast
I especially like the scene where the guy catches a sword and wants one of his followers to do the same. The build up to the joke is done very well, like i said, very Tarantino esque. I cried laughing at the dude with the sword stuck in his head still waving his arms around trying to catch that s***
He's right but let's not act like Emmerich doesn't make the same copy paste trash ass movie every time
