    Tonight on Kinodrome

We're looking at another great Pre-Code classic of its era. Wild Boys of the Road directed by William A. Wellman. It was made in 1933 at its height of the Great Depression and follows juveniles being hobos hop on freight trains across the country for work. Although it's a short film that packs a punch when it comes documenting the era and the struggles they face and what injustices they have through bits of comedy. Especially it's critical of its era.

Man, Notorious (1946) really got some of the best dialogue from that era.

Meh I suppose, same reason I’d sit through something like shivers, to see where the directors heads at

I am in no place to judge this but i feel like they don't really make good comedy movies anymore

Honestly full blown comedies were never great for me. I laugh way more at films that add comedic elements to something that isn't solely ''comedy''. For instance a Yorgos Lanthimos films are cold and disturbing but there's a lot of deadpan line delivery that totally works for me. Also most Lynch stuff is on the mystery/psychological horror side of things but there's still plenty to laugh at for me because of characters acting totally surreal
