SUPERMANWhat really gives that pretentious vibe is when folks can see the "imagery" or intent in one project but will down play it's existence in a different project because they aren't a fan of the film or the film makers
Yeah, when I see a film review these days that talks about a director's personal temperament or online persona it always strikes me as way too personal
Like yeah Adam McKay is pretty insufferable online but I don't get the point of getting so worked up about his latest movie, it's basically fine, not as important as it thinks it is (if only there was a word for that), but has some funny gags and good performances, it's nothing too special aside from its subject matter, but most reviews of it make you think he killed their dog or something

Honestly I havent seen the new joint yet but whenever I see criticism about the movie it's directed at the director but weirdly has right wing or self proclaimed "red pilled centrists" attached to it
