nah you know thats a flat take, it definitely deserves criticism for the way it treats the women on the show. but viewing that strictly as such is imo divorcing it of its context since its literally a self-critique of that kind of fandom. even more urgent considering hikigomori was an emerging phenomena in the 90's.
