The movie was trying really hard to get me to root for them! I feel like it’s not entirely my fault!

I thought the obvious theme of a 25 year old who has no place in grown up world and finding a friendship with a kid despite obviously not belonging with them to be so good. It’s just that kiss at the end! I expected them to just hug and it to be a friendship movie

And ahh the film obviously plays it as a romantic, triumphant moment and maybe that’s the point? But yeah I just can’t defend or stand behind that lmfao and I liked the movie

They kissed and said I love you and it’s played as a big romantic happy ending with the music swelling
