it had the refresh with MW, the community discourse around the game was more positive than any time since BO2 (post m4/olympia nerf). they needed some better maps for the core modes and less strict SBMM but that's something which could be easily achieved with MW2 you would think

they blew it by spreading themselves to thin on that game (10v10 and GW were completely pointless) backed up by a rushed effort in this one (the less said about the graphics, animations, sounds etc. the better)

vanguard probably wont be much better. due to release in 10-12 weeks and we know nothing. find me a game, or any entertainment product, with such little lead in time that is actually good.

wish they took this year off and worked on a game that’s actually good and has some longevity

I’ve played this game far too much

i only got back into COD because of the pandemic. i hadn't played a COD game since BO2 -- funnily enough BO2 is viewed as one of the best titles ever, whereas for me i hated it.

from what i recall, MW2019 was COD's return to a more boots on the ground type game, which is what a large portion of the fanbase wanted after the jetpack games (i never played them).

MW2019 has a huge number of flaws that are exploited the higher you get in skill level.

i used to be in the top 1% for K/D in MW2019, and SBMM made the game terrible for me. i only have fun in this game when i'm playing while high, or if i'm playing objective only.

i legit just play hardpoint with a shield + smoke grenade + trophy system, get 0 kills and try and singlehandedly win by playing the objective. it destroys my K/D even further but it's more fun than going 50-20 nowadays

warzone is a hacker's playing field now.

MW2019 search and destroy is a mess -- basically if you ever see someone playing on PC, there's a ~50% chance they could be cheating.

CW league play is embarrassing.

why the f*** do COD games release without capture the flag? it took 5-6 months for cold war to implement a classic game mode, same for MW2019.
