Mechanically this game feels pretty good its just annoying that I cant actually kick back and play, feels like every game plays like a CDL game. Makes it hard to play for long periods of time. SBMM is ruining call of duty and gaming in general tbh

nahh I only get a handful of pretty lax games in a multi-hour session. A majority of the times the games feel like a sweat fest.

This is coming from someone who grew up playing gamebattles and MLG events. Even some pros agree the SBMM is so tight in cold war. If you’re solo queuing you’re against tough odds to maintain a high W/L and kd ratio

Those complaining about SBMM, I implore you to go play Destiny 2 Crucible and come back and tell me how s*** that game is now that they’ve removed SBMM.

That’s how anyone who got into CoD before 2019 had to learn it tho. By actually getting stomped from time to time and a***yzing what other players are doing differently.

That’s the thing though, Activision doesn’t actually want casuals to get better. They make them join lobbies with other casuals so their experience is not ruined by sweats. Which is understandable. People don’t want to get stomped 24/7 and that’s cool.

But no “good” player wants to play against level 5’s who shoot at the sky on a consistent basis either. We just want a fair chance to meet a few of these people every other game. That’s it.

The fact that you actually get penalized for being a good player in this game is ridiculous.

If you don’t want casuals to have a bad experience by getting stomped, why do you want good players to have a bad experience by eliminating their chance to have some casual fun as well? Cause it’s not like we all just decided to become MLG pros overnight and only play competitive.

If you play a game for as many years as a
lot of the core fanbase has, it is inevitable that you get better at the game unless you’re literally a bot or your name is TmarTn.

Activision actually has a great thing in their hands with the SBMM algorithm, they just use it wrong. They could easily create something like Rookieville in 2K where they put you into lobbies with similar (skill) levels until you reach a certain level/skill cap. And after that, you’re free food.

But instead they took the commercial route again and treat their core fanbase like garbage.
