Yep... This game is the truth.

Book it. This game will break the franchise player count records currently held by Modern Warfare 2019. Is this game slower paced than Cold War or other non-Infinity Ward CoD's? Absolutely. Did they nerf cracked-out movement? Absolutely. Are footsteps actually accurate and audible? Absolutely. Are guns and headshots extremely lethal? Absolutely.

This is the most visceral, violent, gritty, and immersive CoD we have ever seen and I am already ready to lose my social life to this game. The audio is impactful. The visual recoil/shake is violent. The suppression/screen blood effects are fear-inducing. I feel like I am in the scene from American Sniper where Chris Kyle goes room clearing with his squad. Constantly moving at a high alert speed walk pace clearing every sector rather than tac-sprinting straight at every sound you hear. It is exhilarating.

Example thought process in real time while moving around the map swiftly and efficiently: "I just heard gunfire to my east. Was that above or below? One wall over or two? Should I just run directly to that sound in a straight line? Or should I think about where he is in relation to my team so I have an idea of the direction he is probably facing, then flank his position? And he is already firing his gun so I know he can't hear my footsteps approaching, but also I'll throw a smoke near him so he for sure can't hear my approach."

Rather than my character moving at a lightning pace, it feels like my thought processes are moving at lightning pace. Consuming and absorbing all the visual and auditory cues as I swiftly move throughout the maps, constantly thinking about my next move. It feels like I can't turn my brain off at all. This makes it feel less casual because non-headphones wearers or music-blasters are out of luck for this game because audio, map awareness, game sense, and teamwork have never been more important.
