Kendrick selling out lowkey the biggest loss of this generation

I get it he got tired of being showed out by Drake, and not get any spins in the hood compared to Cole

But that don’t mean you switch up on some lame s*** 🤦🏽‍♂️

    What?

"Regardless of whether he anticipated becoming a spokesperson for Black pain, his 2015 album To Pimp a Butterfly solidified him as a leading chronicler of the weight of racism." No f***ing wonder this man made Mr Morale

Na he did that all by himself but don't wanna bear the responsibility (understandably so)

  • Like my man if you can't understand why people f***ed with Kanye when he said "George Bush doesn't care about Black people" and then stopped f***ing with him many years later once he started supporting Trump, said slavery was a choice, said the police officer didn't actually kill George Floyd and that it was fentanyl while continuing to push literal Neo-Nazi talking points it really might be time for you to admit you are not as smart as you think you are.

A very personal pro trans anthem catered towards people who aren’t trans? Yeah how dare he…

I never watched Dave until recently but I cringed when I saw his older vids I think and he was doing caricatures of black ppl and s***. Some of it was ight but it seemed corny, and all for a white audience

You might be too young to have lived in his hey day but Dave Chappelle was universally revered among all races. Every Asian, white, black Hispanic, etc was quoting his skits and lines from comedy specials

Doesn’t really fit the tap dancing for white folk meme

Looking at celebrities as heroes is insane anyway wtf lmao. Imagine being over the age of 15 and viewing an entertainer as your hero.

Trans community thinking they can escape the jabs of comedy is ridiculous. Dave has punched at every race, gender, religious affiliation, etc., but crack jokes on them and now he is “anti-trans”? Give me a break. All these people laughed hysterically when he was ribbing on black people, especially when it was jokes about stereotypes and using the N word.

That’s because he’s black. You can make fun of your own. His trans jokes weren’t even funny just ai written derivative “you’re not a real woman” nonsense.

People need to let go of celebrity idolization as soon as they can, no way this really needed to be a thinkpiece
Being inspired is cool but these are just human beings no better than anyone else

And those people were also idiots

I have no idea why people find it so hard to ignore something if it offends you but has no material impact on your life

Seems like a way to lose Allies, and the only thing to get out of it is a smug sense of virtue and righteous indignation

I’d say it’s been cranked up to 11 tho, if you have time you should check out the book “So you’ve been publicly shamed” to see the revival of public shaming and the collective instinct to cancel others and how that’s been ramped up in the digital age

bro are you slow in the head?

    "Substantive rebutal"

I don't even remember what I quoted, just wanted to make sure no one wastes their time on arguing with your backwards ass

One thing these types will always do is posture as great debaters who make all the sense in the world whilst beIng civil...

Despite refusing to acknowledge sound arguments and rebutals to further push their stances:

in the case of the poster I quoted, he kept refusing to acknowledge scientific research/expert's opinions proving his opinion wrong

peOplE ShOuLd jUst lĒAve aBuSIve relATionSHips

to push the idea that the individual (usually a woman in this case ) is at fault (y'all know how those types love to bring back everything to the individual )

it's literally a waste of time yo

these niggas will lead with rightoid conspiracy talking points and outrageous takes and reductive nonsense, and you have to spend so much time deconstructing what they're saying systematically and THEN supporting it with sources simultaneously, that you can't even really make your own salient points at the end of all of it

and then they'll just say "why can't we have a conversation bro, lets have a debate bro this is the problem with the world people dont know how to talk"

    f***ing idiots man

  • cold mountain

so we have user AND veggie being pseudo-intellectual contrarians itt? oh hell no yo

This is regular s*** for them. If you ever actually sit with what they say for a few minutes you'll realize a lot of what they say is very f***ing stupid. It's much easier to just assume they're trolling instead of seriously engaging with them. The moment you do you see how quickly their already terribly built arguments fall apart...oftentimes they end up killing their arguments themselves
