2026 and devs are still forcing a floaty cursor instead of just using the windows cursor
Hated it immediately
Seen a bunch of impressions of people saying the beta is making them reconsider their pre order
Bungie can’t catch a break
Hated it immediately
it's legit a dealbreaker for me. Im glad I didnt spend money to find out
the aesthetic has my brain in a vice grip. It could be a walking simulator and I'd still play this thats how much I like the visuals

Im forcing my way through it. Once im able to immediately understand what items I need to pick up in-game I should be over it
I just did the tutorial and played a round with two randoms (who weren't on mics) but my initial thoughts:
The Good:
It's absolutely stunning to look at. The design of the guns, environments and items grabbed my attention immediately. This game pop visually in a way Arc's doesn't. The feel of the guns also seems on par with Destiny. Even the ammo counters look insane. I'm definitely going to try as many different ones as I can during the Stress test.
The Okay:
The controls feel good but still at least one step below Destiny. Movement just doesn't have Destiny's "flow" but that might come the more I play. I'm also a little unsure about how/what the class powers do but Im sure it won't take long to figure out.
The Bad:
Unlike Arc Raiders, there's just not nearly enough difference between the Runners and the USEC robots (the PvE enemies) in regards to visuals and attack style. I wasn't sure who/what was attacking my squad until two of us were dead. The enemies (and, to a lesser extent, the Runners) are the least interesting visual aspects of the game.
Also, the game just vomits information at you via the UI/menus/descriptions. It's almost headache inducing.
Overall, my biggest concern is there's just not going to be enough emergent gameplay moments (i.e. cool s***) compared to Arc to hold my interest.
I'll play more this weekend so these impressions could all change but it should be noted I'm probably going to be playing Arc more (expedition reasons)
im so glad you said the information part cos within like 5-10 mins of the tutorial i was already being overwhelmed with the descriptions for pickup cos i dont even whats considered good loot or not
honestly think shooters should be as simple as possible and stuff like that should be for other genres like rpgs where there isnt constant action going on
Two crashes back to back :( was working fine earlier.
Updated both my Nvidia/AMD drivers and we’re cruising. I’m not entirely sold on it, I’ll play a bit more through the weekend though. Godbless for a free opening weekend to grab people who are on the fence.
Between the punishing AI enemies and bloodthirsty PvP-ers, this game finna chew casuals up and spit them out
And ngl imma consider myself a casual since my online-shooter skills are not what they used to be..
What’s the criticism you’re hearing?
Literally every twitch chat there's people just blindly hating without even trying it and it's tiring asf

Idk what’s the criticism but the movement feels good and aesthetics look good. Guns feel solid I haven’t hopped into PVE yet but my only criticism is give me a few maps.

Agree 100% with you, also I like how there isn't any don't shoot s*** like in ARC Raiders

Yeah I haven’t played arc or EFK but just the hour I played on this seems like it’s solid. I remember you from ktt
Honestly, after playing a few games, i genuinely just don’t understand the game.
Maybe it’s just because i never played an Extraction shooter before. It feels nices. And i LOVE the vibes and visuals. But i just don’t really understand what i’m playing
im liking this so far, the hate is forced
