got into him through orpheus and the sirens, i listened to nights gambit and honor, but was less thrilled with descendants. to me nothing will top orpheus and the sirens

do you think its fair to call Ka's style 'too much of a good thing'? its like when you get these methodical crazy bars and entendres one after another after another you kinda get it at some point and just can't be bothered? it's gonna sound super dumb but these days im almost more excited to hear one good bar amid multiple duds than a full plate of overwritten verses

Ka is one of my favorites, it's just something that I've been thinking about recently, esp in regards to his new album. I kinda get the same feeling from wiki's new album: it's great, but it feels like it doesn't go anywhere. maybe im just overplaying it idk

I don’t, personally. In fact as time passes I appreciate what he does more and more. I can understand becoming satiated by such flooded and robust verses every single time, but at the same time, I admire how he filters everything he raps through a masterfully poetic lens. To say “Each page, could tell I’m engaged, every jewel given” as a middle bar that’s not even emphasized just blows my mind, and encourages me to listen closer

I hear you completely tho. Maybe you should take a break from his music for a while (I had to do this last year), because it literally just gets to be too much and you stop appreciating it like it deserves to be, imo
