Yeah that’s true. Considering who you’ve already interviewed, you can totally pull it off

Maybe do a Q&A if you pull the interview?
'Our Sir Lancelot's at round tables cuttin' eighths'
as well as that entire 4-bar is still one of the hottest lines of this year
idk where to post it but Medhane really said 'Brodie on the corner like the rook' and it sounds like something KA would say

He really starts projects with such heavy intros. Still hits like first listen

i think it's the sample
that takes it to a new level for me
starts at 12:40

all of his albums have top notch writing
but i don't always love what he raps over
descendants of cain has my favorite production style thus far i think
grief pedigree was my favorite before this

Right? Crazy instrumental. It’s wild that he barely touched that original
Yeah his writing is genuinely unrivaled in the genre. And GP was amazing, but he somehow keeps leveling up. I really love DoC and Days with Dr. Yen Lo, but I have no favorites.
Which beats/which kinds of his beats do you not rock with

i wouldn't say there are any beats that i feel like are out of pocket for his style / sound
i just think he has some moments where the beat elevates him to a new level
for example:
every now and then & i love
sins of the father & old justice
sirens
i guess the point of me saying this is: when he's rapping over s*** that feels less like a beat and more like an invitation into the stories he is telling — he's one of the best we've ever heard
that's how i see it at least
this is the philosophy behind what
i'm trying to do with my music nahmean

Ah word I feel you. Those beats you noted are incredible. He definitely is WAY more accustomed to the really simple, mostly drumless production than, say, a beat like Not Told on Reloaded. He needs to be on that extremely minimal s*** to emphasize his voice/rhymes..
Agreed—as far as matching production and vocals/content, he’s so masterful. Just always makes so much sense. Beats like Summer and Solitude of Enoch, for example, highlight his ability to utilize the negative space so effectively
