If you're into abstract, lyrical hip hop you'll love him

You think so? I deleted it cus i thought i was wrong lmfao. I keep going back and forth

Either this around 7-10 mins or something off the first disc of Dark Magus . but dark magus mix is way too muddy and chaotic for it to be as clear as it would be from On the Corner and the synth/keyboard sound makes me think it’s the On the Corner track. It sound chopped tho it could be from a lot of parts of that album.

I really think it's On the Corner. Around 7:20 and 7:40. Could be totally wrong though you never know with Ka

The more i listen the more i agree now. Idk how i even heard that but i went through a miles obsession phase and i loved his late career electric/live period the most and i especially loved that album. Not surprised Ka got exquisite taste, everyone should hear that album

I've only heard Miles' early material. I've been meaning to get more into his stuff. I'll probably check that album tonight, really liked what I was hearing when I was listening for the sample.
If you a king, esteem a queen, don't deprive her,
Make sure she the truth, don't confine in a Delilah
You know she want the main cut,
Fast as you can slide, curve her, hit the change up
cover out!
Title and cover are crazy, easily my favorites from him
Hopefully the music is the same way
I agree this is one of his best... Orpheus was flames tho. And I just found out (I know I'm late) that the HKTS cover is the perspective of someone in a grave
f***ing subtle genius
How you find that out about HKTS?
So glad this thread exists, I’m running a testing site for corona in the city and I find myself playing Yen Lo daily because its speaking to me on a lot of levels. Can’t say how cool it is to be able to come here and the rest of ka’s work and talk about it with yall in a serious way. Makes the crazy s*** way easier to deal with
Breaking down bars.... @marcusg teaching me new literally devices
Ka thread easily one of the best
exactly.
ktt def aint what it used to be, the glory days are certainly in the rear view but at its worst it still got the most level headed posters and geniune music lovers...
its not perfect for sure but you still can find discussions about stuff that most other boards won't even talk about or just simply dismiss cause its not whats hot rn.
I actually think there's a ton of great discussion here
I've been on KTT a long time as well and to me there was always that inundation of hype/trolling but as long as you kept that to the side, the wealth of knowledge and discussion was huge. It's 2020, we're on our second iteration and nothing's changed in my eyes - still learning, still so much I'm learning...
@sfsorrow to real for ooping that second copy
I can't download the files to my phone/my computer isn't in the best shape right now so I'll have to wait for streaming next week (wish dude was on Bandcamp, they're suspending revenue sharing the first Friday of each month - would have bought this asap if he was on there)
Good thing there's plenty of other material to listen to in the meantime
F*** it im gonna email him about it lol
Interested in hearing what he says when he gets back to you
