Brockhampton keeping in touch with Ameer is the weirdest f***ing thing. On one hand, that whole 2018 thing could have gone way worse and I think cutting them off from the group might have been the best thing in light of what happened between him and Dom.
On the other, while I wouldn't blame anyone for not forgiving Ameer, I think it was pretty damn clear that he understood what he had done and the type of action he needed to do to change. I could see why somebody like Kevin would gravitate toward that.
A part of me always believed keeping Ameer in the group would have been better for Brockhampton overall. Not so much for "better music lol" but just because it would have been more impactful to have him be this imperfect vessel to bounce off the younger, more naive vibe of the rest of the group.
At the end of the day, Ameer brought the “street/gritty” factor into the group. That was well needed for them to be taken seriously and not just a hipster boyband group. Just look at WILDFIRE as an example, song is 100% a better banger with Ameer than Joba
To this day I don’t think Kevin has made something better than mtv 1987
That’s not a terrible take but I think his songwriting has gotten better

Mtv really great but nah man has only gotten better
Growing up is choosing to stop listening to the last BH album to listen to Her Loss again
Also interesting that Count on Me was projected to be Sugar-level.
Not even the most hit worthy song on RR…old news way catchier or even ill take you on
I haven’t heard TM yet either, to those that have what album would you liken it to most? Because I didn’t care for Ginger at all and hope it’s not like that
