Just did my first listen, definitely need to go in again. I don’t know, this just wasn’t it for me. Ginger was their weakest to me, but this is pretty on par with it. My favorite is iridescence. It just felt a bit too much at times while also missing a lot. Certain members only showed up on like 2-4 songs and had very brief parts. It felt more like solo tracks from individual members with features sprinkled in as opposed to a cohesive group album. There were amazing moments, but none that blew me away and will have me going back to a certain moment over and over.
With all that being said, I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again.
Joba would be GOAT tier if he put out a solo project.
i know snippet syndrome is real, but my god, it feels like they did way too much with BANKROLL

Matt on this album

Matt on this album

Tbh I know this is a hot take, but Matt is suffering from what Ameer suffered towards the end of the Saturation where his flow became really boring and predictable. Every matt part sounds meh on this.
great album
I love ill take you on. it reminds me of like a certain song
like some NE-YO s***? idk. but I fw it

Totally forgettable on here
This is a JOBA centric album though
Matt took a backseat I think
I wouldn’t be too worried. If this happens on their next few albums, I’ll be worried
also,
what's the occasion? that s*** reminds me of a band I've heard before
can't put my finger on it tho either
idk like 90s indie? for some reason im getting pixies vibes
but there's like another influence im missing esp on the poppy high pitched part
that piano
which band does piano like that

That chord progression or progressions like it ALWAYS remind me of where is my mind by pixies, I had the same thought

real
honestly I enjoy this and I'm excited for their next one too
people ITT talking about how they didn't want this sound, I think it's very likely that's where they'll be headed on the other project this year. If it's truly gonna be their last project, I don't see them going out without a more "poppy" record
I don't understand why everyone's saying Matt took a backseat on this album, he's got a verse on almost every song?

for real. WHERE IS DOM? THE BEST RAPPER IN THE GROUP? ON A "HIP-HOP" ALBUM?
I thought ginger was ass personally. Did not go into this expecting a good album - Buzzcut had me interested, just finishing my first listen on this album and it’s f***ing tight imo. Best work since Sat era, tighter than iridescence.

fr man, we got like two verses from the guy on here. definitely the energy that was missing on some of these tracks
