its not that there's no melody, it just became part of that wave of rap. when you do 808s it helps to bring it up to a higher key so you can tell if you're playing the notes you want to. maybe someone just forgot to bring them down and stuck with it. or maybe the artists are in the room while the producer's making it and he just f***s with it. whether I like it or not its here to stay

It’s cool when it’s done right because it gives an extra bassy bounce but everyone just on that jetsonmade/DaBaby type wave now so the sauce got overused real quick

Also that track has horrible mixing, I’m sure it was done on purpose to make the 808 hit different but it’s just ass
