It wasn't bad, but it was a pretty straight forward adaptation of the book. Olivia Coleman character study carried it. The Bride! Is her original idea loosely related to the IP. So you can see where she got into trouble. Big swing etc.
Can't wait to see this mess when it comes to VOD in 2 weeks
Two weeks 😂 lmao probably about right tho
This was pretty unique I felt like it was almost getting really good then I just felt the writer injecting her world view into it kinda took me out of it idk a few loose ends but it was pretty cool
Great acting from both, Jesse Buckley especially showed out. Jake Gyllenhaal being in it was random af
I was the only one in the theatre
They f***ed up the marketing for this movie by the looks of it.. I didn’t like the trailer but went for Christian Bale
Damn bro, was there no hype for this at all? I didn’t expect the movie to do crazy numbers but damn this is bad
https://twitter.com/variety/status/2030664046215827618I mean did the trailer look...promising to you?
Didnt hate it
Only thing that didnt work for me was detective subplot
Cool 7/10
Bale killed it and the girl playing the bride was great as well
This was actually pretty decent. Not sure about the Mary Shelley possession stuff but the story was solid

I was confused af but then i figured it was a metaphor for parts of her primal self trying to be integrated
I feel like I have to watch this now. Is it really as bad as people are saying? I have no idea how Maggie got $80 million for this s*** with no real track record.

not a bad way to put it
This ranks among the worst movies ever made, I could not f***ing believe my eyes
🤣🤣
This movie went and never came.
This movie was woke in ways that a movie has never been woke before, and in ways that will never be replicated again
Atp this is either going to be incredible or a f***ing train wreck and I don't know which is better
You was right
This is The Room tier IMO, not to be a flagrant misogynist but this dumb broad made a movie where Frankenstein’s monster really exists, in 1930s Chicago somehow, and loves movies — obsessed with movies, knows all of them — yet never goes to see the most popular film of the era F***ING FRANKENSTEIN!!!
