Finally sat down to listen to this.
This dude is so corny.
Album’s not even bad but s*** like that Oblivion skit had me rolling my eyes into the back of my head like The Undertaker.
I feel like Abel has tackled all of Brent’s lyrical content with the tact and logic that Brent lacks.
kinda Wish he put Mercedes on there though honestly
Sooooo underrated and underappreciated song its sooo good
Coulda put it on there easily when he put some even older stuff on there
Mercedes better then everything in this project too.
whats everyones top tracks of this album? i love this whole project i cant decide
My top 3 (no order):
Role Model
Loose Change
Heal Your Heart (Interlude)
Those are my most played tracks so far.
No cap, I’ve been listening to him for about 4 years. His music is a personal enjoyment.Sometimes I don’t know if I can aux him around anyone else because you really have to be into the tone that he sets.
He’s not a tit tat, rhythm type of rnb.(Bryson Tiller for example) If he can get some better production he’d be in because at this point I pretty much listen to him because it makes me look cool and women love him
I can’t get the hook of Gravity out of my head
Song would be one of his best if Tyler wasn’t on it, don’t think he fits there.
I can’t get the hook of Gravity out of my head
Brent’s greatest song of all time. Instant classic

I’m not sure if The Weeknd vs Brent is a fair comparison in totality. Yes they both tackle a toxic lover archetype and The Weeknd is a better writer. But they go for completely different things
The Weeknd’s toxicity comes from a veil of melancholic spiral while Brent’s toxicity is pure and unadulterated. He knows it’s a flaw but he also knows he can’t change, so whoever he’s dealing with better run or get hurt
Regardless they’re both much more than their toxic music

S***noises in music is my biggest pet peeve in music; and it's corny even when the legends did it.

That s*** was like nails on a chalkboard on this.

I will never get over the s***moans at the end of Fight the Feeling smh. Who thinks that s*** is enjoyable to listen to for an album experience??
I think Tyler is a pretty boring guy in real life in the sense that he doesn’t live some extravagant life or have some wildly interesting perspective on things which is fine but I just don’t think he be having nothing to rap about fr. He had all that angst when he came up and had the “fuck the world” thing to rap about which work. But now that he’s older and we’re older, bruh don’t be keeping my interest with his perspective
Tired of hearing every guest verse using the bunny hop line smfh
I keep forgetting Tyler is on Gravity lmao
Cant remember the last feature verse he had that didn't ruin the song
Crying at Joe Budden saying the skits are the highlight of the album
The skits drag down the overall album, but I get what he’s saying. What’s happening in the skits is the most interesting things happening on the entire album (excluding the singles)
