I haven't really noticed these things tbh. Things have been working fine for me so far. Takes me from A to B at least.
Yeah these are mostly nitpicks tbh
I also hate how you detach things like it always f***s with the positioning of your creations
I actually like how it feels to jiggle it off haha but it does slightly alter the position of the creation when you shake the joystick. I haven't found it to be problematic or annoying though.
Also does anyone know how ascend works like why is it instant sometimes and sometimes there is that cool transition screen, i thought it had to do with how thick the thing you go through is but sometimes it does it on things you normally pass instantly through
Anyone knows if there's anything to see on thunder plateau? I can't see anything but it would make sense for something to be there with it being a Zonai ruin...

I think it does have something do with the amount of layers/thickness. We might not be able to see all of the layers/how the game is built but it does seem to be at least related in some form.

Feels a bit random at times tbh
20 hours in still finding new s***
BotW came out 6 years ago and they still finding details and doing new tricks there even with Tears of the Kingdom out
This over-world enemy fight was dope (not a story boss or anything so anyone can fight it at anytime after leaving the starting island). Had me using all four of my abilities to beat it. Took a while to understand how to beat him but then it clicked that all of my abilities can be used against it.

There was an instance where the enemy changed its shape and flew up into the sky and shot its square blocks at me || and I was like how the heck do I reach him when he's up there. Was too high for Ascend or Ultrahand...then it clicked that || I could use Recall on the blocks he shot at me and then ride the block back up to him and knock his weak point :damn: One of the coolest realisations/moments so far.
With melee? Good luck. With arrows? Absolutely, unless they catch you first. Keep your distance from them and shoot Bomb arrows or fuse elemental objects like Rubies or Topaz that create a large blast of elemental damage that hits most of the hands at the same time. It's easy to die to your own blast when shooting Bomb arrows or other arrows with big effects though so make sure to find a spot where you are far away enough so that you don't knock yourself out with the blast.
Holupppp fused gems make explosions too???? Im too greedy to try it out or even sell em

I love reading stuff like this. Im only very early on but making those realisations with your abilities is amazing.
Anyone else find ultrahand super frustrating like the limits just aren't clear and it leads to some really stupid s***
yeah it's an annoying gimmick imo

Yep. Gems like Rubies, Sapphires, Topaz have descriptions that mention their elemental powers (Ruby - Fire, Sapphire - Ice, Topaz - Electricity) even since BotW (but in BotW you couldn't fuse them so they had no such effect in the actual game) if you read about them in your inventory. In Tears of the Kingdom, their elemental powers can be used. Warning though: They have a very big blast radius so you might hurt yourself if you shoot a Ruby (as opposed to a Fire fruit or Fire Chu Chu Jelly that have a smaller blast radius) at some enemies if you're too close to them
I've been addicted to reading this thread. Reading these experiences of my fellow players while im bored at work
I'm dying at reading these similar experiences I've had past weekend too :chanlaff:
I've tried to stay away from reading bigger spoilers tho but:
Falling off the glider multiple times trying to go back to the temple (in my case due to this fckin joycon drift
)
First time finding a cave thru a well
'Brute force' climbing an icy wall thru attaching random logs
The guy with the sign
These sites with all these materials and feeling too stupid to craft something good so far
Inspired to play some more again tonight now
Bc I've been taking it slow and trying to just play casually.
1 more hour until I go home tho
Yeah some of these ultra hand related puzzles are f***ing annoying like if you don't have the right components at the time of doing some of these you just can't do them

I had trouble grabbing stuff that was like, if I was on a ledge and the thing was on the ground, it was too close to me to grab
I had to jump down and move the thing out in the open or I could’ve just dropped it up on what I was standing on in the first place now that I think about it lol but I think I get what u mean
