i believe it! after all, so many people do love it. it just doesn’t look that interesting to me unlike a lot of other Zelda titles.

They're very confident in what they have if they aint showing s*** but little snippets. After all the beauty of the first game was discovering hidden locations and mechanics, and had they shown stuff outside the plateau the feeling of discovering stuff on your own and sharing what you found with the community online wouldve taken a hit. I dont think you need to be hyped to anticipate a game, and i dont believe we need to see a lot of the game to have faith in one of the best teams in the world to deliver on the sequel to one of the greatest games ever, which had tons of room for improvements despite its sheer quality. I remember watching a Arlo video on this where he felt he wasnt as hyped as he thought he should and i was confused by that because Is hype a requirement now for anticipating something? Do you suddenly not care about something because you're not screaming to the world about this game you really want? We all know it'll be the talk of the town and a runaway goty contender anyways. Nothing against you of course, your post was an excuse for me to vent about hype culture

If this game doesnt have a cool dragon fight in the skies ill be so mad, theres a lot of potential in there

nah im hype already simply cause its zelda, my fav series, and a sequel to botw, prob a top 3 game oat for me. Dont need anything more than that to be hype

its just weird that we know so little about the game this close to the release, thats all

Yeah dont get me wrong, again, i wasnt talking about you specifically lol. But to get to your point, i think that's just the strategy Nintendo has decided to go with with their announcements. With bigger games they announce them years out and then only when they get a lot closer to release start to show them more. With smaller games they announce them close to release. Metroid dread was announced like 4 months before release. Fire emblem engage also 4 months. I think even other companies are about to follow suit. God of war Ragnarok for example got a big trailer only 2 months from release

I'm excited because they haven't shown s*** and they've been working on this for 5 years now.

Started as a dlc and now who knows what kind of crazy s*** they've come up with.
    It's gotta be nuts

A tiny detail that I want from this game but probably won't get:

New animations for running and fighting and climbing just to make the game feel more distinct from BotW and because the old animations were pretty stiff imo.

Would also be super dope if Link could do front flips and side flips like in Majora's Mask. Those flips were super satisfying and cool but have never been brought back.

It's possible they would. A lot of people on this game, at least a few probably feel similarly to you

Like you pointed out there's precedence for this in MM
