yup
the entire feel of the game added to it.
BOTW was like exploring a post-apocalyptic world trying to piece together what happened through memories and NPCs. Hence the melancholic nature of the game. The vast spaces and sense of eploration enhancing this lonesome vibe. The memories only evoked regret, remorse and failure which were translated into game design. You were the one to "correct" history in a sense and end these tragedies.
Hoping here that TOTK manages to combine gameplay, game design and story similarly.
Spot on I loved the way botw told it's story
Ahahah reviewers dont actually care about that formula too much, botw got once in a generation type reviews and it's still highly regarded to this day
