That whole discourse will be dumb as hell when Nintendo yet again comes up with a new timeline or game that changes everything
It's pretty clear that botw was supposed to be a soft reboot of the story to get away from the limitations of having to fit everything without nerds crying about it
And it's Nintendo too like their whole style of game making is focused on gameplay rather than intricate storylines

Just general reactionary ass takes, like that interview the developers just did where some people keep hyper focusing on the “The Great Mundanity” phrase as killing hype for the game without recognizing what the developers mean by it even though it’s clear as day.
Also so much f***ing harping on goddamn timelines and s*** in the spoiler thread and how the story in this conflicts and thus is bad even though most of that s*** is pure speculation on fans’ parts.
And people STILL not able to get over the game being set on that same map and insinuating that Nintendo is trying to pull something (?) by choosing to reuse it.
Doesn’t help that a lot of the people who are playing the game rn and sharing their impressions also happen to not be fans of BOTW, so that’s coloring everything as well.
I only accept reused maps as long as they open up new areas and change the landscape in the game halfway through.
Jak and Dexter did that well with 2 to 3.
Works on digital code too

I got one let’s GOOOOOOOOOOOO
Im not the kind of person who loses themselves inside an experience so much that they lose the concept of time, but the 1 time it happened it was with botw. Skyrim didnt, elden ring didnt, GTA San Andreas didnt, dragon quest 8 didnt, the other zeldas didnt. I remember i was exploring south of lake hylia, leading to south west where the huge horse is, i played all night straight until 4 am which is something i had never done before and since, so completely enthralled by the experience i forgot i had to sleep, and i wasnt even doing anything too noteworthy, it was a simple exploration, finding horses, minigames, shrines and cool vistas from the top of the hills. What worked for me in that game more than most others is the landscape being rewarding to explore innately, simply traversing hyrule to me feels satisfying and awe inducing, its also the only game i never used fast travel. Ready for that to happen again with totk, cause if there's any other game that can evoke that feeling, its tears

Oh, they definitely do that in this game.
Seems like the only ones still harping on it are the ones who expect every Zelda title to be a reinvention, which is stupid because we’ve literally known this was gonna take place on the same map for years at this point.
People also have to get into their heads the fact that Nintendo isn’t gonna try and render a Zelda title (in this case BOTW) totally obsolete by this.
Thread will be legendary when reviews drop
the vibes at launch are gonna be incredible
definitely gonna restore that feeling of elden ring thread from last year

Is that tomorrow or Thursday?
Is that tomorrow or Thursday?

So true, and that reminds me the friendly rivalry between nintendo EPD3 and from software open worlds we'll see in the coming years will be amazing. These mfs gon keep outdoing eachother for a long time i feel and we're lucky enough to be able to enjoy both
Tbh i always felt TP had one of the weakest zelda osts, but its been quite a while since i last played it, and this track is a good reminder i got to replay it after totk cause i do feel i am too critical of it at times
Is that tomorrow or Thursday?
Unlike previews i dont have definitive proof, but from some presumable hints they should be on thursday
Gonna read this interview
Part 2 has story spoilers that maybe could be tied to gameplay as well so beware of that
