I doubt this game will even run at a stable 30 on release on switch emulators. Botw clips in 4k 144fps you see online come from the Wii U emulator, iirc switch botw only began to run at 60 recently, after 6 years. This is a huge switch only release tho, so maybe in a handful of months it'll run on those levels, so if you're in no rush you'll have to wait
60 FPS is all I ask I don't care if it's 720p 🙏

Well i hope the emulator devs will be supported enough to work extensively on that!!! God knows this game will take tons of work to make it run smoothly

Gonna cop a Switch OLED either way cause I've never tried it and I know this s*** will look beautiful on an OLED.

Heard only good things about that oled screen, if you like playing handheld its definitely worth it. Even games that dont run at native resolution look beautiful which is something im kinda jealous of since i have the og switch still
Is skyward sword worth getting

Skyward Sword is pretty much the opposite of BotW. It's very linear, very restricted in terms of the world/areas you visit, very story-driven and hand-holdy by todays standards. Lots of tutorials, conversations, cutscenes, chores and handholding as opposed to BotW which respects your intelligence from the start and cuts to the chase with minimal handholding.
If you want a linear, story-driven game with a motion control gimmick that feels (to me) very intuitive and fun to use while also getting a big dose of several clever, traditional, themed dungeons that the Zelda franchise is known for, you may like it. If not, pass. It's not a must-play.

Plays more like Metroid with the linearity
It's a nice game and the story is basically the franchise's origin story (imo the game's strongest aspect) but yeah, probably the weakest 3D Zelda because of the reasons mentioned so far (unless you count the DS games as 3D Zelda). However, a couple dungeons are really great.
Also, your assistant Fi is imo more annoying than Navi

this replay of botw hitting so hard thus far
i didn’t realize how much of this game I had forgotten
Flurry Rush has to be in the game but one interesting thing is that they haven't shown Link doing a flurry rush in any of the footage to my knowledge.
That bulge gah damn now i know why Zelda told link she's not sure hell be able to stop him

I hope its a bit harder to execute, and since we're on the topic of combat, i hope healing isnt busted in this game. Well have more hearts in this game, so i hope they balance this out with limited healing

I think even a simple tweak like greying out the food menu during combat scenarios might help a lot.

I think outright preventing you from healing during combat could be too much, even hard games like dark souls let you heal while fighting. I think what could fit tears is a sort of limited healing, similar to how genshin impact does it. In that game you can heal by eating food from the inventory (or from a craftable pouch that can contain a limited amount of food), but the more you eat the more characters' stomach gets filled, until its full and you have to wait a while before its emptied again. Zelda doesnt have to implement it the same of course. This sort of limited healing wouldnt make the game too hard for inexperienced players that make the majority of Zelda players, but would also prevent combat scenarios from being laughably easy
