I don't know about that tbh I feel like they would've announced the new switch by now if it was the case
what do you mean? Confirmed leaks already say it’s scheduled for winter
Nintendo of all companies ships their games with no need for even a day one patch (besides Pokemon but they dont work on those they just publish them)

Well if one of the main selling point was that the game runs better on the new switch they would probably have made it a launch title like botw for the switch 1 I guess

My bad didn't catch the edit I don't really follow leaks

Yeah you’re right but apparently the new switch is gonna run all games better through performance patches, not just totk

Makes sense tbh I hope they somehow managed to make this run like botw so that it's not necessary to have the new switch tho

Oh I think it’ll be perfectly playable on the switch
It’ll be like the ps5 is now, not really necessary upgrade but it’ll run all the ps4 games at 60fps instead of 30fps, and with a few exclusives probably

Sounds fair to me I don't really care about it being 30 instead of 60 tbh as long as it's stable
I doubt it, my guess is that huge part of development is working on the switch 2 version of the game which will run 4k 60fps while docked most likely
4k?
I feel like at least this game will be better optimized than botw because it's not a port of a wii u game
4k?
You think 7 years later we’re getting another 1080p console?

Oh that’s a good point

From nintendo? Yes

That s*** got dlss if they use it in their games 4k is not impossible. But yeah i expect mostly 1440p games at best which is far from bad imo

By 4k I just mean the output. It’ll probably render games at a lower resolution like 1440p.. even the ps5 does that

Hmmm, does that make much difference? Iirc dlss upscaled 4k looks pretty close to natural 4k, depending on the initial rendering resolution It can even look better. But i think i get what you mean

Yeah I agree it looks pretty close to natural 4k. I really wouldn’t even guess that the ps5 isn’t rendering at 4k if I didn’t know otherwise from techies online telling me the real resolution lol
From nintendo? Yes
Also remember it’s gonna be playing Nintendo games at 4k. It’s not gonna be games like god of war ragnarok or re4 remake with insanely realistic graphics lol. It’s gonna be Mario and Kirby and s***. I think they can pull it off, especially with the upscaling/super res tech popping off recently.

Tech obsessed nerds are a different breed lol, i never get that picky about resolution and framerates and honestly for the better cause i got less to worry when playing games, although i understand their pov, i want a new switch too at this point! But mostly to see how these genius designers can utilize the capabilities of a ps4 pro level hardware
I thought after gameplay demo that this game would get a 95 at the very best case scenario, now i think another 97 isnt out of the question. I feel that the amount of batshit things in this game will greatly overshadow the performance issues. This also isnt a normal sequel so thats another thing the game's got going for it
