I do think actors ideally should be capable of speaking 2-3 languages fluidly. Ideally it’d be taught and emphasized in performing art programs. But it’s hard enough to act in English as a native speaker so maybe that’s not a reasonable expectation. So in my opinion the use of “AI” in this manner is great and innovative.

Saw this like 3 weekends ago and liked it but it's kiling me how ppl are going leaps and bounds to defend even the most minuscule use of some generative model which I think is on their part an overcompensation to appreciate the grandeur / scale of this film. Like: they're making allowances because they think it heightens/adds anything to film to make it what it was (a great film tbh) that couldn't have otherwise been done using an actual person's ideas.

I don't agree with this at all bc there have been much older and much grander achievements in film than this film; you can't argue that it's not destructive or at the very least lazy asf. Where do you draw the line at this stuff? Because I can guarantee you if you gave studios an inch they'd take a lot more than a mile
