davis is genuinely the most exciting fighter in boxing today. instant classic fight. loma did his thing too.
Boxing is the only sport where people can watch one of the greatest guys in the sport today and be like "nah, he's trash". Like not as trash talk and bait, but actually believing it. Wild ignorance.
Tank can’t even fight Lopez cause he’s tied up with Kambosos and Lomachenko being his mandatory. Tank definitely gonna fight a cab driver in his next fight I think, just nothing out there atm
Tank has plenty of options. He's fighting across three different divisions. Prograis, Mikey, and Ak at 140. Fortuna at 135. Colbert at 130. He's on PPV every fight now. They aren't can crushing. Honestly, he should obliterate Gary Russell Jr but they have beef. Ryan Garcia might be angling for it. Lomachenko is a free agent tonight. Top Rank is dangling the Teo fight to re-sign him because his contract is up.
Tank is the money fighter below 147. He can make fights.

Umm guess you haven't talked about other sports enough

Other sports are pretty easy to talk about. You can just pull up the stat sheet. The best regularly square off against the best. There's a winner in the end. No weightclasses. Boxing in particular devolves into everybody claiming everybody else sucks and hasn't fought anybody. No belts matter. Records don't matter. Boxing fans are regularly completely detached from reality.
Honestly boxing is more like music. The business discussion takes the place of nuanced criticism because it's easier to just talk numbers. Other sports have stats, which themselves deaden any nuanced discussion of the actual sport- but that's a different thing

Yeah in other sports it's worse imo because people will do it regardless of the stats.

Nah, you see the guys face off all the time. They prove themselves over and over. If you're lucky, the best boxers meet once in a lifetime after years of people wanting it to happen. They write off every other fight as pointless.

Yeah, but then there's the following argument of that player being just a system player or had the better team/more help... which doesn't exist in boxing... the downplaying is always on the competition based on who they've beat or haven't beaten.
I'd say fans of team sports do that too, but with the regular season... They write that off and treat the playoffs as the only thing that really matters like the fights between the best boxers.
Tank vs Barrios was worth the premium man. That was a f***ing classic. Davis is a crossover star now man
Garcia vs Davis is gonna be a monster financially whenever it happens but Garcia is probably a level below Tank.
Floyd should just train Davis at this point. His official corner was useless.
He literally just stared at Tank and at the last min ask him “you good” at one minute.
Gervonta and Floyd going back and forth in the corner would draw heavy.

i dont think garcia wants that smoke tbqfh

Garcia don’t want smoke but should do it. Pay day would be nuts

I think if he wants plant the seeds to make that fight happen,Garcia is definitely gonna have to jump to PBC and get at least one PPV under his belt. It’s amazing how Garcia could potentially peak so early in his career but make ridiculous amounts of money at the same time.

Garcia is chilling, he'll make a crap ton of money off his social media clout. His team should have him fight a few more fights to become Mexico's great hype then in two years fight Haney or Davis. He'd prob lose (I actually think he has a solid shot against Haney), but that fight would be insane. Crazy thing is if these fighters all fought each other, losses wouldn't even matter
Tbh after Beterbiev last fight, I think Bivol would take Beterbiev out or likely win by UD. Bivol has been near flawless and consistent, nothing too extraordinary but the man is in control of every fight and fought guys physically larger than him and big names in Pascal, Smith Jr, Barrera; meanwhile Beterbiev only beat Gvozdyk which he was losing 87-84 on 2 of the judges scorecards before the KO
Floyd said Davis aint fighting any1 outside of the PBC.
Watch him fight Devon Alexander or Ivan Redkach next lol

This probably the plan lol, fabricate the hype for Mexico through DAZN/Matchroom by fighting some(a lot) of their lower tier dudes and jumping to PBC/Showtime to fight take when the money and interest is just right.
