this. last play was not mazzulla's fault. they knew what they wanted to do, and the action was good, got maxey on tatum and then tatum drew like 3 at the rim. it's on the players being so slow to get into the action, not mazzulla.

then jaylen leaving harden in the corner the previous play? this is on the players man every late game loss isn't a coaching loss

As a coach you call timeout when you see players aren't executing

sure. that’s a fine pick for third biggest problem with the late game choke. 1a and 1b are brown doubling off the corner and running the last play so slowly.

like getting a shot off with time still left on the clock when you’re down is basketball 10fucking1. gotta give yourself a chance to get oreb or foul and get the ball back. if you need a coach to tell you that, I don’t know what to say. it’s on the players first and foremost.

they woulda run the same play out of a timeout, the action was good. the issue is the players brain farting the most basic rules of late game execution.
