    Brad said we need playmaking

    I say Rick Rubio

  • mvp

he’s an absolute sniper with size. if he can be even mediocre defensively he could be useful.

I could see regular season pritchard brown tatum hauser rob lineups going crazy offensively, but he’s definitely going to have to prove it defensively to be anything remotely useful in the playoffs

If you can shoot but get torched you basically just end up like duncan robinson

I don’t like the lack of shooting and lack of defense there

True, but the perfect player is not out there.

Rubio is the type of player that will adapt to the system. He's the exact point guard veteran steady presence we miss. Just look at the teams this guy's been on, I mean yikes. A winning culture can change a player. Case in point Wiggings on the Ws. (Horford on the C's instead at Philly)

    Keep D***y Pubio away

Wiggins was always decent. He’s just thriving from the splash bros stimulus instead of being the #1 option now

Prob means nothing and I don’t think it will happen….. but if he doesn’t sign a super max with the wiz…

  • Jun 22, 2022

if John Wall got bought out and was willing to be a bench player he’d be useful for us

  • Jun 22, 2022

Bruce Brown would be good here too

the spurs are saying they want a jrue holiday like package for murray. he makes 16.5 million next year. our fournier TPE is worth 17 million. if we are just willing to offer a f***ton of draft capital we could theoretically get him without giving anybody up. after all, milwaukee didn’t really trade any players of value for holiday just draft capital.

I hope we do it. I’ve always been a huge Murray fan. He’d be a great fit for our team and he hits our timeline perfectly

    imagine

    Murray
    Smart
    Brown
    Tatum
    Rob

    Horford
    White
    Grant
taxpayer MLE signing (backup wing ideally)

then if one of your young guys develop more they can break the rotation too

that’d be chips for years to come potentially

it’s not the same s*** nobody got swindled lol 3 firsts and 2 swaps is perfectly fair for holiday. celtics could offer the same draft haul if they wanted to.

In an imaginary trade scenario to get a Beal or a Durant (without giving up JB/JT), who is more important to keep: Smart or Rob? I could see arguments for both, but I really can’t decide.

My first instinct was to say Rob but if you factor in injuries it’s pretty close

I would still say Rob because who’s gonna take over his role

Rob. he’s just a more impactful player. he has best defender in the NBA upside if we get optimal outcomes on health and conditioning

and philosophically it’s more sound to keep rob, because rim protection will always be more important than guard defense.
