Except a***ytics should be used as talking points, not conclusions in it of themselves.
Projections and records etc., have nothing to do with the overall ability of the team to win the championship (which your own sources cite as very low lmao)
Do you actually have any points to argue or are you just going to keep posting things that don't matter?
I have argued that the celtics are a top 5-ish team and both the results thus far and numerous a***ytics, surface level or advanced, would support that notion. they don’t matter to you because you lack the ability to contextualize them. that’s not my problem.
your argument as to why I shouldn’t use them was literally this: m.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp1eZdtkdQM
this show is about a bunch of idiots if you’re not familiar.
the celtics beat the bucks, heat, nuggets, mavs, and raptors. they’re 5-2 against the top 5 seeds from both conferences. they could’ve easily won the game against the clippers (on the road mind you). it sounds like you stopped watching after opening night when you talk about this team.
are they undersized? yes. there’s no anchor like al anymore. it’s going to take a lot of help defense to guard embiid and giannis, neither of whom killed us nearly as much as you’d think they did listening to you. embiid didn’t do s*** in the opener. and the sixers only scored 106. they can’t shoot for s*** so packing the paint and getting out quickly is a viable strategy. the bucks have been better than the celtics (and the rest of the NBA) and the celtics have been better than the sixers. that is what we’ve seen a quarter through the season.
are they top heavy? yeah, but come playoff time you only need an 8 man rotation. kemba smart hayward tatum and brown is a strong 5. then there’s wanamaker who is solid and the big man rotation. you act like theis is garbage when he’s having a solid season. he’s been a definitive plus for the C’s on defense. there’s still the possibility of a trade.
in short, what I’m claiming is based on what is actually happening on the court. what you’re saying is based on preconceived notions that you’ve had since the offseason that you just keep regurgitating over and over again with no respect to what actually transpires, unless they lose a game. then you pop in and feel validated. get your head out of your ass.
No it's not lmao
Kemba cannot deal with taller defenders, he couldn't even deal with traps from indiana last night, and Theis made Sabonis look like prime wilt. imagine when he has to go up against AD or Embiid?
Not to mention our bench is f***ing terrible.
Were a good big and a bench scorer away from being a legit contender and we have the assets to make it happen

the issue with most deals is salary matching assuming we don’t wanna trade any of our best 5. tough, but wouldn’t put it past danny to figure something out tho.

Please tell me what assets lmao
memphis pick. you quiet.
I didn't know you could just trade a pick and take back salary

And in the opener we scored how many? Kemba did what exactly? And you keep talking about regular season accomplishments. I've already told you, I only care about winning the championship. I don't care about "being fun" or beating up on s*** teams.
idk if you know this, but our top 5 guys can't even play on the floor together, and even when four of the top five play together, one always seems to get left out.
Theis isn't garbage, but he's 6'8 and pretty much a zero in terms of offensive impact. He'll get us dominated on the boards against teams with size. Please don't act like Wannamaker is good either. He's a guard with tunnel vision, a low volume 3 point shooter as well.
You can enjoy the regular season all you want, but nothing i've seen has made me reassess the ceiling of the team. Kemba can't play against bigger defenders, Tatum is having a nightmare season in terms of efficiency, the bench is bad, and the big man rotation is terrible.

you're so desperate for a reply lmao.
Sorry, but we were promised a championship rebuild. Not a "have fun in the regular season, lose in the second round rebuild"
If you wanna be committed to young players, get Kemba and Hayward out of here ASAP. Paying 141 mil for a manlet whos never won anything lmao. f***ing yikes.
we literally have a lottery pick
Ok, and we can't take salary back. hows that work

I actually dont mind getting rid of hayward although that may be an unpopular opinion. As for kemba, his defense can be a concern but that doesnt bother me at all when we have marcus. Hayward and memphis pick for a star big and im pretty damn confident in this team

and you keep giving em to me
I am definitely irrationally invested in seeing you become self aware

He's an offensively limited big man who doesn't offer that much defensively in terms of guarding the rim. Not to mention the pistons would never trade him for hayward+pick

I disagree, the dude can grab 20 rebounds on any given night, is solid on defense, and can finish around the rim. Hes lethal as long as he has 4 shooters around him
Offensive rebounds are one of the most important things in basketball and we’ve had very few guys who can do that over the last 5 years

why would kemba have won anything in charlotte? if he signed with the lakers and won a title there you'd somehow view him as a better player? since when has one sub-MVP level all star ever been enough to win anything?

woulda been a better trade if it were 2000

if offensive rebounds were that important, kanter would be playing
