about 80 pages in and yea she is doing ALOT. i'll see how long i can stick with it. what are you reading right now?

  • Oct 31, 2024

I grabbed The Secret History of Twin Peaks (even though I have like 2 episodes left of The Return, I dont think it'll matter for spoilers cuz it was written before The Return) from the library so I have to read it somewhat fast.

That brings my physical/iPad TBR to (in order of priority):

    Secret History of TP
East of Eden (Joint physical and audiobook read)
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream
    Misery
    Dune

what has worked for me and maybe this is super pro-consumer but buying new books, like actually going to book stores and shopping for new books usually does the trick for me.

if you're in a slump, you have to read what excites you, like that's the most important thing. whatever it is that gets you excited, read that. it could be a book that JUST came out, go out and buy it because that'll get the ball rolling at least.

  • Almost done with Frankenstein. Mary Shelley was 19 when she wrote this? 19? Crazy

Also maybe starting small. Jumping straight into a Sanderson tome of a book might not do bro any favors lol

not even this tbh (though i did DNF that book in the past lol); it’s just a matter of me looking at the words and not being able to process them, even though ik i’m capable of comprehending them. like, i have all these books on my shelf that i’ve been DYING to read, but i can’t get in the headspace for some reason…my brain just won’t allow me to sometimes. i’ve been able to pummel through one piece though without a problem lol

idk how else to explain my predicament i probably sound like a psycho
