On my third reading of Blood Meridian, first time I've read it in a couple years... still brilliant, unbelievably moving, the only other book with such beautiful prose is the Bible. Read The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton while on vacation, watched the movie about a year ago and stumbled upon the book a few months ago, much better than the film.

just finished Name of the Rose, absolutely loved it. 50 pages into Baudolino and it's fire as well. Umberto Eco may end up being one of my favorite authors when it's all said and done. if you love medieval history his books are tailormade for you

Currently on a spy kick and decided to read what’s considered one of the GOAT spy novels: The Spy Who Came In From The Cold.

Enjoying it so far, lots of intrigue, less action and betrayal. Excited to follow up with Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy since that one deals more with the paranoia and betrayal aspect of the spy world.

i would start with name of the rose to see if you like his fiction style, and move on to others from there. forewarning the first 100 pages are pretty dense, but know that that’s on purpose to test the reader and build the pace of the world lol

Being hold by a lot of work and university stuff and I'm only at 4 so far smh
In my defense last one is 600+ pages and the previous weren't that short as well.

Omg such a slow burn until the last quarter and then s*** just goes 0-60 in half a second before crashing into a wall

    Great read.

Just read "They Both Die in the End" by Adam Silvera and I enjoyed the book and its concept but I feel like Mateo's and Rufus' romanced was pretty abrupt and forced at the end and the book could've finished stronger without it. Anyone else read it?

Almost finished The Three Body Problem. Not gonna lie this can probably be considered a hard book to get through especially if you don’t like a slow burn, and it’s hardcore sci-fi. So unless you love sci-fi I’d probably recommend you wait for the tv show n see how that turns out.

Imma without my overall thoughts until I finish the book. Probably by tonight or tomorrow

If someone wants to check out a show rn they can watch the Tencent one (Which is probably more faithful than the Netflix one will be)

I ended up finishing the entire 3 Body Problem trilogy. F***ing amazing series of books. Each one better than the last imo. So many goosebump moments throughout the books. I haven’t felt such a range of emotions from a story in a long ass time.

I can’t recommend the books enough if you are a lover of all things sci-fi. Be warned though, this is hardcore sci-fi. Not Star Wars, or Star Trek, or Dune. This is a lot closer to something like The Expanse, and For All Mankind.

So many things I wanna discuss about the books but idk anyone else who has read them, let alone all 3 phenomenal man. I really hope Netflix show does it justice.

These books will undoubtedly have you second guessing everything you ever imagine about space, extraterrestrial life, human existence, everything.
