how long till some KTT clout chaser starts a generic "LISTENING TO THE BOB DYLAN DISCOGRAPHY" thread and gives three sentence reviews of all 39 albums?
The only reason I do those threads is to write legit reviews, not s***ty blogs like other folks lol.
I’m Not There is one of his mumble classics.
I also really like some of the covers he did on it. Spanish Is The Loving Tongue, The French Girl, Joshua’s Gone to Barbados, Song for Canada >>>
Also some of the wacky stuff like the You Ain’t Going Nowhere, Quinn the Eskimo, Jelly Bean, and All You Have to do is Dream
my man really started painting his face for rolling thunder revue after seeing kiss live
real recognize real
I've had Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits on repeat for the last couple of weeks. Man is goated
possibly the goat album
i've only made it through all the way once .... i'm not big on the sound of it like the recording the sound doesn't resonate with me.. the a complete version must be brazy wrong even being part of the bootleg series

Well you probably know that they weren't worried about the sound quality and were just recording the songs as demos for the most part so yeah it's murky but there's a precious atmosphere of spontaneity
thinking nobody was gonna hear these recordings allowed him to get goofier and more hilarious with his lyrics than he ever had but also expose himself like a open wound to write the most anguished ballads of his life.
He could have had one of the top 5 albums of the 60s of he actually released a condensed form in '67
just ranked my favourites yesterday

Deadass?
Deadass?
You didn't see rolling thunder yet? Yung Sharon Stone and her chaperone mom somehow ended up backstage and told him about Kiss and their kabuki theatre inspired makeup which Dylan thought was cool
Deadass?
yeah
one of Bob's bandmates dated Gene Simmons and got Bob to see KISS live. they were wearing makeup and he took notice

i totally get the approach was for them to drop a project of them having a glorfiied jam session with some structure around, well that's the impression i had on my initial listens to which i have to say i enjoyed especially second time around.
i ain't got no streaming account (currently) so, i'm going to download the original (not the bootleg joint which is like war and piece in audio form in terms of length, however i expect dylanheads been feasting on it for a minute.)
“All songs are about one thing and one thing specifically, there is no shading, no nuance, no mystery. Perhaps this is why music is not a place where people put their dreams at the moment; dreams suffocate in these airless environs. And it’s not just songs – movies, television shows, even clothing and food, everything is niche-marketed and overly fussed with. There isn’t an item on the menu that doesn’t have half a dozen adjectives in front of it, all chosen to hit you in your sociopolitical-humanitarian-snobby-foodie consumer spot. Enjoy your free-range, cumin-infused, cayenne-dusted heirloom reduction. Sometimes it’s just better to have a BLT and be done with it.”
Go off goat
